The headlines include: "EDC board endorses RTC bond referendum" (EDC stands for Economic Development Corp.); "Public hearing set Nov. 19 on sewer, RTC referendums"; "Rowan Tech bond hearing set tonight"; "Rowan Tech bonds would pass--survey" (this November 1987 article mentions an in-progress name change for Rowan Technical College); "Voters to decide two referendums" (this December 1987 article mentions the new name of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College); "Voters approve technical college bonds"; "College bond wins approval"; and "Bond referendum outcome certified as vote canvassed".
