This folder contains 2 laminated pages of newspaper clippings related to a state university and community college bond package that had to go to a vote in the State House. The bond package was originally $3 billion and didn't need voter approval; however, the State House of Representatives wanted to only pass a $1.2 billion referendum. The original plan would have given Rowan-Cabarrus $7.7 million; the House plan would give Rowan-Cabarrus $5.7 million. See following folder for more information.
