Abstract

This folder contains material related to the state bond referendum mentioned in the previous folder. There are a few laminated newspaper clippings: one about predicted higher enrollment numbers in the next ten years, two about university and college students rallying for the vote (one article mentions Rowan-Cabarrus would receive $11.2 million), and one about important people in North Carolina throwing their weight behind the bond referendum. Also in this folder are two informational pamphlets getting the vote out for the referendum.

Lastly are three memorandums to trustees, faculty and staff. The first memo is from President Brownell about donations in support of the statewide bond campaign. The second is from Associate Vice President of Administrative Services Ann Hovey giving more information on the donation drive. The third one is from Chairman of the Board Ray Paradowski and President Brownell celebrating the passage of the Higher Education Bond referendum.
